Hi everyone,
My name is Noah Bernardo. While attending high school at Veritas Preparatory Academy, I received the life-changing news of being accepted to the University of Southern California. Though, on the one hand, I was immediately captivated by the wonder of all the possibilities to come, I was then set as well with the daunting cost of attendance. Through the hard work my mother and I have put in to seek additional aid, we have managed to receive $55,223 in university grants, scholarships, and loans. Yet the remaining $14,840 is something my household cannot afford to give by the start of the Fall semester. Thus, I must humbly ask you for your help.
During the the course of my high school career, I managed to receive a total SAT score of 2190, finish with an unweighted GPA of 3.6880, and develop a love for community service. This love was facilitated by my participation in Great Hearts Great Hands (Veritas Prep's community outreach club), the Veritas Mentor Program, and volunteering as a teen leader at the Catholic Church of St. Bernadette's Life Teen Youth Group. Having gained such experiences of interacting with individuals on a personal level, combined with my love of storytelling and philosophy, I have become very enthusiastic about character development. Translating my passion into a career, I have decided to pursue screenwriting, and I hope to craft stories that can similarly connect with individuals on a personal level, as I know many films have done for me.
I know I have been blessed to have gotten this far, and I promise not to let this opportunity go to waste. Know that I will work tirelessly to allow your contribution to help me influence the world in a positive way. I could not be more grateful for your time, and I wish you nothing but the brightest days ahead.
