Vickie's Medical Fund

As many of you know,  Vickie Colburn Buescher has been battling Chronic Pancreatitis for the last three years. She has missed countless events due to her pain with this. After extensive research, Vickie has been accepted for a surgery called Total Pancreatectomy With Islet Cell Autotransplant... TP/IAT. This surgery is to improve her quality of life and freedom from constant pain.
No surgeon in the state of MO performs this surgery. Therefore, she will have to go to the University of Minnesota. Her surgery date is set for September 30th. This is a twelve hour surgery. After recovery there, she is to stay 4-6 weeks after at a site a mile away from hospital. She will need someone with her during that time to care for her.
Thankfully her husband provides insurance through his employer which will pay for SOME of the expenses but not all. They will have expenses for the after care stay and trips back and fourth for the family to visit and care for her as well as others. She has accumulated expenses from the trips to Minnesota for testing and ER, hospital stays and medications.
My family are givers. We have helped our local families as well as large organizations. It is now that we ask for assistance.
