After a difficult few years, my three girls and I have decide to get rid of our things and our hectic life and to start living life to the fullest, which for us means moving into "Miss Daisy"; a 1978 dodge campervan. We will travel where the wind and our hearts take us, with our focus on connecting with each other, new people and friends we meet along the way, with nature, and hopefully to learn (ironically, by moving and living in a vehicle) to slow down and enjoy now. Another major aspect of the trip will be healing, not only from the difficulties we have experienced in these past few years, but medically as well. I recently found out that I am going deaf. After years of appointments and tests with specialists of all kinds, I have decided not to continue on the path to a specific diagnosis as the next step is to begin medications and potential "treatments" that would make my otherwise strong body very sick and weak, and would likely only manage and delay the inevitable outcome. None of the potential diagnosis are life threatening, all have more or less the same outcome. I am choosing not to compromise my health and the ability to fully enjoy these important young years of my girls lives to save my hearing. So I will go deaf. That being said, I do believe in the potential of healing on my own, and that a huge first step is to follow my heart and learn to just BE with my girls. My heart is telling me to do this trip. So this is where I need your help! Miss Daisy (our van) got into some trouble and now needs some work to get her road ready. It's departure week and our final inspection found a few major issues that need to be addressed before living and travelling full time on the road. I have never been good at asking for help, but if there ever was a time we needed it, it's now. Every little bit counts! If you can't give money, I really love healing-hippy-love vibes and healing-daisy-the-van vibes! Thank you!
So much love,
Jessi and the girls
