Hi everyone,
I am Roberto Garza’s oldest sister, Natalya Garza. My brother Roberto (21 yrs old) was involved in an ATV accident in Kyle, Texas on August 9,2020 , where he flew out of the vehicle and the ATV rolled over him, causing a spinal cord injury. This spinal cord injury has caused Roberto to be paralyzed from his neck down. He had surgery to receive a halo to immobilize his cervical spine and neck until the fusion matured. He spent months at a rehabilitation in Austin, Tx. Unfortunately while there, he experienced sickness because of infections that were caused by the lack of switching positions every couple hours. Roberto underwent surgery to heal the severe infections on the surface of his lower back and his shoulder blades. Despite those infections, there were positives during this time for my brother. We (family) were finally able to see him through a window and he was able to receive visits from his parents.
Roberto is finally home and is filled with a lot of positivity and hope. I would love to gather up some funds to help pay expenses that have accumulated the last 10 months.
Roberto and all of us are so appreciative of anything you can give whether it’s $1 or $100. If you can’t give, we would appreciate prayers. Prayers for his health and well-being!
Much love, Roberto and family.
