I am writing and praying that Gail's urgent medical expenses are met. Gail is my wonderful wife of 22 years and a great mom to our 13 year old son, Garet. She has the full time job of keeping myself and our son going on a daily basis. She also calls herself mom to our dog, Buck.
Approximately 2 years ago, Gail was diagnosed with stage IV Cirrhosis of the liver- ( NASH ) non alcoholic steatohepatitis. They figure Gail was an undiagnosed diabetic for 5-8 years. Gail has been out of work since September of 2015.
Gail is on the Liver transplant list at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. The hospital is 90 miles away and the numerous trips to jackson has been a huge financial burden. She currently has a balance of $ 7,200 and rising at the local hospital in Hattiesburg and they have requested that we try to raise $20,000 for her surgery in Jackson. After the transplant, her medication will be very costly. We are encouraged as University boasts a 93% success rate and since Gail has never drank or smoked they anticipate a successful transplant.
Gail's score on recent tests in Jackson was a 21. (20 and above puts you able to receive a liver by govt. standards ) We are anticipating her getting a liver real soon. Gail has a strong faith in Jesus Christ and is placing full faith in him for a successful surgery and for finances to be met.
We have already received tremendous help from family and friends in various ways and would be ever so grateful if you can help us to reach our goal. We are praying that the Lord will help us to make ends meet. Please consider helping, no donation is too small. I am anticipating a successful surgery and a chance for our wonderful mom and wife to be well again. I told Gail that God has a sense a humor but he wouldn't leave me and Garet to raise ourselves!
