Melchor Lopez Funeral Funds

Hello friends and family. As most of you may now be aware of, my father Melchor Lopez passed away on October 13, 2017. This past year he had a hemorrhage stroke which left him hospitalized and unable to move his right side. Throughout the months he would gradually show signs of improvement as well as some periods of relapse. These past two months he was constantly in and out if the hospital due to troubled breathing caused by pneumonia. This past Tuesday our family received a phone call informing us that our father was hospitalized. We all assumed it was for the same reason, pneumonia. To our surprise, we found out that he had received a second stroke this time on the right side of the brain. The stroke left him unconscious and ventilator dependent. The doctors tried everything possible thought of to try to stop the bleeding, but the bleeding only spread.
Our fathers’ team of doctors sat down to talk the family about our father’s condition. Long story short, they explained to us that the little function he had left in him was now gone. The brain bleed was slowly shutting down his body, and it was best to make a decision for him before his body made a decision for him. This was the toughest decision we’ve ever had to make and it took us a while to wrap our heads around it. We all came to terms and made a decision based off of what our father would have wanted. Our father slowly passed on 10/13/2017 at 12:45 pm.
Our dad was a very well-liked and respected man. He was a loving father of three, amazing husband, caring brother, wonderful grandfather, etc. He always put the happiness of others before his own. He was such a hardworking man who worked until the last day he possibly could. Even when he did not feel the greatest, he would always do everything in his power to make his family happy. He was such a kind hearted soul and will be deeply missed. Our dad was one like no other. He taught us very valuable life lessons. His heart was never full of hate, only love to spread around. He would always say to leave things in the past and learn to forgive and forget. All he wanted in life was to make sure his family had a happy future. He encouraged to each and every one of his children to pursue what made them happy. Those are the memories we will always cherish. That’s the advice we will carry with us each and every day. We will try to live a joyful life just as he lived his. It is heartbreaking so see a man like him go, he was our best friend, our dad like no other. He was our hero.
With a heavy heart, we ask for your help. We as a family were not emotionally nor financially prepared for this tragic event. We were under the impression that he was strong enough to get through it and come home soon. Unfortunately, that was not God’s plan. We as a family have been coming together to try to come up with the funds for his funeral expenses. We would greatly appreciate any type of help for our beloved dad’s funeral expenses. We also greatly appreciate all of the condolences.
