There used to be 4 major sports teams in the Hilltop neighborhoods of South Pittsburgh. Now there is only 1.
Youth sports are what keep kids off the streets and out of trouble, especially in impoverished neighborhoods. The Southside Bears are the last remaining sports team for the Hilltop neighborhoods of Pittsburgh, PA, right where I grew up. In the past, each hilltop neighborhood had their own individual sports teams, but due to budget cuts, each has fallen by the wayside over the years. The Bears football organization and cheerleading squad is the last effort to keep youth sports alive in the Hilltop and they are in desperate need of funding.
Please donate today. All proceeds go directly to the Southside Bears organization. Uniform costs, security, referees, field maintenance, and field house maintenance are just a few of the areas that the money will go to.
