In October, Garrett began to experience irregular symptoms that caused him to seek medical advice. Unfortunately, the result of that visit quickly landed Garrett and Kelly to Austin to begin a tireless effort towards winning the battle over Small Cell Carcinoma of the Bladder:

This type of rare cancer can spread quickly, and with more bad news heard in TX, they found out that it had spread to his shoulder, upper chest, and hip region.
Determined (as we would expect nothing less from Garrett) to be healthy, Garrett and his family are now seeking attention at the Cancer Center of America in Philadelphia. (and he is NOT a Phillies fan!)
Biweekly treatments of Chemo and Radiation have reduced the pain and growth of the existing tumors, but due to the nature of the cancer - the possibility of new growth is always looming.
As you can imagine, there are significant expenses involved in fighting the fight - both incurred and ongoing.
TX and PA Medical Bills: $18,000
Prescriptions: $500/monthly
Hotel & travel to/from PA for treatments: $265/day (normal visit is 4 days)
Our #1 Goal: A healthy Cancer Free Garrett
