5/11/21 **IMPORTANT** Update: Osiris had to go to a specialist emergency vet last night. He had to get a blood transfusion as he is now anemic, and they also did an ultrasound. They are now positive it’s not his kidney that is the problem and removing it would do nothing. So I’m removing that from the GoFundMe. They do believe that it is cancer or, less likely FIP. They are doing a needle aspiration of the kidney and the fluids around the kidney to make sure it’s not the kidney 100%. He’s such an odd case that they truly don’t have any answers right now for us.

Three options were given to us. A CT scan (most recommended, 2-3k) a bone marrow sample since he’s not producing red blood cells like he should ($365, second recommended) and last resort, exploratory surgery (5-6k).

I will be putting in the invoice for his bone marrow sample and the needle aspiration into the GoFundMe. I will not have an invoice/estimate for his CT scan until tomorrow, as that’s a different department; he will be transferring to the specialist (oncology) department tomorrow. He is staying overnight again tonight and more than likely Thursday night too. I will keep everyone updated as I can.

Update 5/10/21: Osiris has been day hospitalized for three days now, and they have retaken bloodwork and X-rays. After seeing his kidney is still the same, they are thinking it is chronic and are discussing removing it completely.

I am absolutely devastated. I will have an invoice to show tomorrow.

Original: Osiris is a lovely 1 1/2 year old kitty who I saved as a kitten. He started not eating so we took him to the vet. We found out he has an enlarged kidney, a fever of 105.8°, and dehydrated. They took X-rays, bloodwork, fecal and urine sample as well.

We are asking for some help. We would appreciate any and all help towards him. He is everything to me.
