Help Support Fate Winslow’s Family
Fate Winslow spent 12 years in maximum-security prison on a life sentence after selling $20 of marijuana to an undercover police officer, due to Louisiana’s racially biased and draconian habitual offender law. He came home in December 2020.
We are devastated to announce that he has passed away, after less than five months at home with his family and friends.
None of his family were prepared for something like this to happen—he had just come home, and we looked forward to many years enjoying his laughter, kindness, and joy. We want to give him a proper funeral for his community to grieve the loss.
We are now collecting donations to pay for Fate’s funeral service and to help support his immediate family as they recover from this tragedy. We greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide; we know that times are difficult right now. Please include Fate and his family in your prayers.
