My beautiful sister, Cheri Giesbrecht, was tragically taken from us on May 22, 2016. To honor her and her efforts to provide for her two children, Nathan (19) and Athena (13) our family is asking for your support to provide a future for these two amazing kids. Throughout all of her personal struggles, Cheri remained dedicated to her children, only wanting the best for both of them. Cheri dedicated so much of her time to her son’s football teams as he was growing up, and the two of them also took Tae Kwon Do classes for many years, where Cheri earned her black belt. Nathan is now a young adult at the age of 19, and he now faces so many very important decisions as he plans for his future through education. Nathan graduated high school in 2015 and has been working hard at saving his own money to attend post-secondary education, possibly in the pharmaceutical field. Cheri’s daughter, Athena, now 13, has been dancing since she was four years old. Cheri has been a true supporter of Athena’s dreams, and put in many hours of attending recitals, dance lessons, competitions, volunteering at the dance schools….the list goes on! For the past 3 years, Cheri had also taken to home schooling Athena. Athena now faces a giant change as she looks forward to attending public (high) school for the first time since elementary. Our goal is to raise money that will help these two kids through these big changes they face. They have both gone through some very hard times recently with losing their mother, and there are more hard times to come. Obviously I would like to see money set aside for each of their educations and Athena’s dancing dreams but it would also be great if they could have a little fun and have a little vacation! Every dollar counts, no matter how big or small.
