Young Single Mom needs our Help

Hello my name is Michelle Stewart and some of you may know me from my work with Heart & Hands Restart or Feeding Riverside. Today I'm reaching out to share the story of someone very close to my heart.

Sara a 37 year old single mom who is in the fight of her life.

Sara is battling stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. A cancer that unfortunately is not curable. A resilient woman who once worked hard to build a life for her children. Sara was self-sufficient and thriving until her health took a turn for the worse. After an allergic reaction to her first round of chemotherapy and the second one proving ineffective sarah has just begun her sixth round of treatment.

But as if cancer weren't enough of a burden Sara's now faced with an impossible decision: Continue her treatment or stop in order to focus on keeping a roof over her children's heads. This is a decision no one should have to make. Sara is facing eviction and because of her treatment she's fallen behind on bills she's accumulated during this time. No one should have to choose between fighting for their life and keeping their family afloat.

Sara deserves to focus on what truly matter, her health and the time she can spend with her children who mean the world to her.
