Following a Dream

My name is Dylan Windish. Let me ask you a question, "have you ever had a dream? Have you ever felt so passionate about something? Have you ever become close enough to have a chance to make those dreams come true?" Well I have been blessed with the opportunity to pursue my dreams.

I'm eighteen years old and I just graduated high school. I have worked very hard academically and athletically  towards achieving my dreams. I have been given the opportunity to play soccer, the sport I love, in Chile. I have a passion for the game and a dream to play professionally. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity given to me by a professional scout.

I will be leaving for Chile within the next two weeks to meet up with the coach of the under twenty scout team. During the first four months I will need funds for housing and living expenses. The first four months are the most crucial to fulfilling my dream. Adapting to a new culture, learning a new language, and surviving on my own as an eighteen year old in a foreign country. I’m sure will be overwhelming. The funds will be used to reduce the financial stress and burden on my parents, while supporting me as I go after my dream of becoming a professional soccer player.

This opportunity will change my life in so many ways. It will allow me to become independent as well as mold me into a better person. I will gain so much knowledge and wisdom.
