Anita’s Pancreatic Cancer Fight
Donation protected
If you have had the pleasure of meeting Anita, you probably think of the goofy, kind hearted social butterfly that she is! You may also think of her as a cat lover, gamer, medical coding guru, twin mom and the lover of all flowers! Unfortunately, the last several years have been difficult for Anita. On September 24, 2018 Anita lost her partner, Jeff, of 19 years and since then has been adjusting to a new life with her children, Jacob and Madi who are now 23. In June of 2020 she was diagnosed with pancreatitis and has been dealing with a good amount of abdominal pain ever since. Anita’s pain gradually got more severe and in search for answers to this pain it was discovered that she has stage 2 pancreatic cancer on April 7, 2021. Since then, Anita has been out of work and has started chemo and will have surgery when she finishes her last round. She is still in a lot of pain and most days is confined to her living room where she gets relief lying flat on her back. Despite her severe pain and exhaustion, Anita remains optimistic and frequently says “I’m going to beat this!!” She is however getting stressed about money as she cannot work and is only receiving a portion of her salary. Medical bills are already starting to roll in for the many ER visits, and diagnostic tests she had prior to her cancer diagnosis. If you are in the place to donate and help relieve any financial stress from Anita it would be very appreciated.
