My name is Evan Alcorn. My big sister Leigh was 29 years old when she passed away on August 7th, 2016 from an overdose of heroin. Leigh had struggled since she was 16 years old with drugs and alcohol and as she got older it only got worse. I saw her go from a happy giddish little girl growing up to someone that stuggled just to make it day to day. Throughout the years she fought hard for her friends, our family, but most importantly her 11 year old son, Andrew. She always wanted to make our mom proud of her and show that she could do better, but Andy was her everything. She would always put his wishes before her's when she could and loved him more than life itself. Leigh was an amazing big sister and would always take time to listen to both sides of the story and never judge people based on their past. She wanted to be a counselor and help people with drug abuse. In 2012 she graduated from drug court and we thought the rough part was over. Since then things only got worse, bouncing from job to job and trying to figure her life out - Leigh got down on herself. She saw her friends growing into full adulthood and settling down and she was disappointed in herself. Our entire family tried to give her all the love and support we possibly could but she couldn't shake her bad habits. For the past 6 years my mother Terri Alcorn has supported my nephew Andrew and I by herself working as a full time nurse. With the death of my sister Leigh the funeral and burial of Leigh's body now lays in her hands. I am writing this to please ask for any donations that you could possibly give to help with the funeral arangements, anything helps. We appreciate everything everyone has already done for us in this time of need. Thank you all,
God Bless
