Erin's fight against cancer

My good friend Erin Steele was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2014 shortly after giving birth to her son, Jacob. Here is her story in her own words:
"In June of 2014 I was diagnosed with stage 4 ductal carcinoma. My son, Jacob, was only 9 months old. A week later, I had a port placed to receive chemo therapy. While I was in pre-op waiting for surgery, my mother-in-law was admitted to the hospital. While she was undergoing scans, her doctors found a brain tumor the size of a golf ball. As you can imagine, my husband, Jeff, was very distraught, 2 of the most important women in his life diagnosed with cancer at nearly the same time. Jeff was amazing and so strong; spending all of his time with me and Jacob, or his mother. We were blessed by being able to take quite a bit of time off from our jobs to be able to adjust to our new life of doctor appointments every other day.
In June of 2015 my oncologist found the cancer had spread to my brain. After trying a couple of other chemo therapies, given through infusion, I was prescribed an oral chemo therapy, which seems to be working well.
I have gone through 3 surgeries, 5 or more different types of chemotherapy, and 3 rounds of radiation. Living with cancer as strengthened my faith in God. He has blessed our family very much. I know that He has given me such a wonderful husband and amazing son to give me the drive to fight this terrible disease."
Erin is one of the strongest, most positive people I know. As a wife and mother myself, I cannot imagine having to go through what she has and is going through. For those of us who are healthy and have no understanding of what it would be like to not only fight cancer, but also have to concern yourself with where money will come from to put food on the table or home bills. Our friends and I want to help ease the burden in any way we can from helping cover everyday necessities like groceries and house bills to medical expenses. Every contribution, no matter the amount, is so greatly appreciated and will go to phenominal woman and her family who could really benefit from it.
