Gregory Scot Stormes Memorial Bench
Donation protected
Gregory Scot Stormes was a loving, kind, caring, compassionate, inspired, passionate, honorable and priceless man. He loved people and lived by the Golden Rule. He was a positive person to be around, patient and slow to anger....he was always cracking jokes, telling stories creating smiles and many special memories that we hold forever in our hearts. He touched us and everyone he came in contact with in one way or another.
In the very early morning hours of May 3, 2016, Greg, my beloved husband, best friend and soul mate collapsed and died from Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Greg passed a loving husband, father, step-father, son, son-in-law, brother, uncle, cousin and best friend to so many. We miss him more than words could ever convey.
Born in Scotland and raised mostly in New Jersey, Greg considered Florida his home. We married (eloped) on the beach, his favorite place on earth. I, along with family and our friends, are wanting to purchase a memorial bench on the beach.
The solid, concrete bench is guaranteed by the manufacturer for 15 years and will cost $2800 not including an installation fee. The bench becomes the property of the county and will be maintained by the Parks and Recreation Department and placed facing the ocean he loved so much. It will also inlcude a plaque.
All monies received above the asking amount of $3200.00 will be donated exclusively to the Widows Hope Foundation to assist widows with payments for electric bills, telephone bills, groceries, mortgage and rent payments, etc.
I want this bench to be a blessing to his friends, family, and all beach lovers! To know that possibly one day a man would propose to his love on this bench, does my heart so good! Please help me spread the love Greg so generously gave. Thanking you from the bottom of my heart!
I love and miss you, Greg, and always, always will.
