Celebration of Life/Funeral Expenses
Shaliah woke up with a fever and hives Tuesday, June 28 2016. While getting up from bed, she had a seizure, passed out, and became unresponsive. She was rushed to the hospital in Alamosa, where they flew her Flight for Life to Children's Hospital in Denver, CO. Shaliah contracted a rare bacterial infection that made her whole body extremely septic, which shut down all her vital organs. She has defied all odds, she has pulled through this septic shock and now, currently on dialysis and still on life support, she needs to be transported to Sacramento, CA for more extensive care and treatment. Despite all the amazing care from the doctors and nurses at Children's Hospital, Shaliah needs vital care for her skin due to the damage that the Sepsis has caused her fragile body. By the grace of God, She has been accepted to recieve this care at a Hospital that specializes in treating the severe condition of her skin. The facility is in another state which is very far away from her loving family/ support system. Shawna, Shaliah's mother, has been, and continues to stay by her side through this whole unfortunate ordeal. Please help lessen the unimaginable worry and stress with travel and other expenses to help Shawna, as she remains by Shaliah's side while she fights this difficult battle. Any and all donations will be appreciated, the less Shawna has to worry about, the stronger she can be for her baby girl. Right now Shawna is going to fly with Shaliah and will be by herself for awhile until family can join them, they are a long way from home and will be there until Shaliah can hopefully begin to recover, which may take from weeks to months. We don't know how Shaliah got this infection, or why, but the fact that she is still with us is a blessing, a miracle from God rather. We ask that you pray for this beautiful, amazing, strong little girl and her family, every single prayer counts!
Shaliah became one of God's precious Angels on July 13th @ 7:48pm. All your kind and generous donations will now go to the celebration of her life and funeral expenses. Thank you all so much for the immense support. We are so appreciative of everything everyone has done, is doing, and continues to do for our grieving family. God Bless <3
