Tractor Fund: Help us Grow!
Boozhoo, friends--
We are the White Earth Land Recovery Project, an American Indian nonprofit organization based on the White Earth Indian Reservation in northern Minnesota.
With the growing season fast approaching, we are in desperate need of a new tractor. For the last few years, we’ve been expanding our stock of Native seeds, and now, we finally have enough to grow two acres of our traditional Ojibwe corn. We will use this corn to feed our community and keep our seed library well-stocked for future growing seasons. Our excitement was quickly diminished last week when we learned that our tractor is broken beyond repair!
We’re reaching out to our friends and community through GoFundMe to ask for help purchasing a new tractor--an expense that will cost our organization $15,000. No donation is too small! We started growing a few of our traditional seeds three years ago and only had enough to re-stock our seed library. Now, help us continue our momentum in growing out our traditional seeds to feed our community!
