Hope and Healing for the Hicks Family

Friends and family, 

This fundraiser is for funeral and medical expenses for Morgan and Maya Hicks respectively who were involved in a terrible car accident. Sadly, our beloved Morgan did not survive and her daughter Maya was life flighted to Primary Children’s in SLC. She is currently in critical condition. 

Morgan and Maya were headed to their Grandma Lamb’s funeral in Utah when their car hydroplaned and struck a semi truck. Amidst the devastating loss of Morgan’s life, Maya sustained significant injuries including significant damage to her arm that is not affected by cerebral palsy. Maya made it through one surgery, but has a long recovery ahead of her. Details are still forthcoming, but we ask for any help you can give to the Hicks Family for expenses following this tragedy.

Morgan and Maya were the ultimate mother/daughter team. Both had smiles that radiated their goodness from inside out. Morgan and Maya were often spotted driving around Aurora together leaving cookies anonymously for neighbors, lending a helping hand, and comforting anyone with a broken heart. Maya often asked—“can I give you a hug?” Her hugs were pure magic. Now is our chance to show love to the Hicks family as they navigate a new chapter.
