On August 9, 2018, Kaelee Forgrave was diagnosed with T Cell Lymphoma (Angioimmunoblastic) Cancer. It’s a very aggressive, fast-growing cancer that will require her to start chemotherapy immediately.
A little while prior to August 9th, Kaelee was diagnosed with a type of B Cell Lymphoma that is very slow growing. However, with further testing, they realized this diagnosis was not correct. Therefore, because of the high rate of aggression, she will begin chemo on Friday August 17th and will be doing chemo for 6 cycles, a minimum of 4 months. Then she will be hospitalized for a stem cell transplant.
Her doctors have informed her that the chemotherapy treatments will significantly compromise her immune system.
Kaelee and Shaun have two kids that deserve to live life as normal as possible through all of this. Which includes, extracurricular activities, and spending nights with Kaelee in Saskatoon. Kaelee is now off of work for a year, and Shaun will be making many trips to and from Saskatoon with her throughout this process. Therefore, Jennifer Kegler and Sarah Sheppard are giving the gift of a GoFundMe account to help ease the day-to-day financial stresses for the Forgrave family so they can focus on this fight.
This will be Kaelee’s biggest fight of her life. Kaelee and Shaun are eternally grateful for the support already given. Although hesitant about a GoFundMe account at first, they realized that they need to accept the help and that it will be a saving grace for them.
