Hello, my family and I come to you with heavy hearts as our fur baby, Sasha, was attacked by two German Shepherds last night, April 27th.
Sasha sustained 8 puncture wounds requiring drains and sutures all over her shoulders, ear, eyelid, hips, legs. Worst of all, her right hind leg was severely injured as the skin and fur was torn from her knee to her paw. It is beyond surgical repair and will require daily vet visits to change her wet/dry bandage for the next 6-8 weeks in hope that her skin and tissue will grow back naturally and to help avoid infection. If her leg does get infected, it may be necessary to amputate.
As some of you may or may not know, these daily bandage changes will be costly. The estimated cost is between $400-500 per visit due to required sedation. The initial cost of the surgery, $2300, has been taken care of as of this point, however the daily care will quickly add up beyond our means.
My family and I ask for any that you could provide or share this GroupMe in hopes of help from others.
Thank you for reading and your consideration.
