Isaac Boney was diagnosed with Chiari 1 Malformation in Feb 2016. It has been a long road with so many different appointments. Some days are good for Isaac while some are hard. Isaac head bangs, hits his head, pulls his hair out, and holds his head when he is in pain. Some nights he is up crying most of the night in pain. We pray every day for our little boy and that every night he can get a peaceful night of sleep and that it is a good day. He has seen a neurologist and neurosurgeon here in Kansas. The neurosurgeon locally wanted to do surgery and wanted to schedule him in 2-3 weeks which has already came and gone. But considering he doesn't do very many surgeries with pediatrics with Chiari, we have prayerfully searched for someone who is specialized in pediatrics with Chiari. We have found and decided on Dr. Frim in Chicago, IL. He has reviewed his case and wants to take his case on and see him ASAP. The last MRI done on June 22nd we just found out July 5th that his brain is herniated further down into the spine. The neurosurgeon here said he would not only have to remove the bone of the lower part of the skull and C1 of his spinal bone but also the C2 of his spine bone. This account has been created to help raise funds to cover expenses to help Isaac get the help he needs. This is including travel, medical expenses and lost work wages while going to Chicago for this little guy.
