Mourning Family In Need
Anyone who knew my mom, Toni Barber knew that she was the most selfless and caring person on the planet. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend anyone could have asked for. She always put everyone before her self. She touched the lives of many many people and bright so much joy to everyone. Well, today we had to say goodbye to her. She went in for open heart surgery to replace her mitral valve, and things went down from there. Due to calcium deposits on her heart, severe complications ensued, causing brain death. She was attached to machines to pump her heart for her and breathe for her. This morning she was clinically pronounced brain dead. Knowing that she would not want to go on living in this state, it was decided that life support would be discontinued. Being the selfless person that she is, she has chosen to donate all viable organs and tissue to those in need, hoping that they don't have to go through the same terrible tragedy that we had to face today. Due to her pre existing health conditions, there is no life insurance policy. She leaves behind a husband, two children, three granddaughters, and one grandson. Her husband, my dad, is a Vietnam veteran who served in the navy. He unfortunately lost his job last year due to health issues and has been denied disability and has no income at this time. A donation in any amount would really help our family at this trying time. Even if you are unable to donate, please share this campaign with others. Thank you in advance, and god bless.
All donations will go toward cremation costs, medical bills, and financial support for the family so we don't lose the house she's been working so hard to keep for the past 20 years since her strokes, hip replacements, and multiple other health problems she has overcome.
