Hello, As many of you know this 11 year cancer journey for our family ( Nikki, Tayler, me and my Aunt Sharon) has become a gut wrenching, heartbreaking nightmare for the last 18 months. Nikki had been working and enjoying her job until suddenly 18 months ago she had severe pain in her Shoulder. From that moment on it went from cancer in the bone causing a clavicle fracture, multiple radiation treatments, missed diagnosis, displaced clavicle fracture, L1 back fracture , Discovery of a brain lesion, radiation which resulted in swelling , hospital admission possible brain surgery( steroids worked) recovered from that to being hospitalized with an appendicitis, going home on picc line. ( Tayler managed the Picc line) Next up pulmonary emboli, followed by L3, L5 back fractures. I have done everything I can to help make her comfortable. To see the person who has been by your side for 53.75 years, who loves you unconditionally ( even when you suck as a human being) believes in you, when you don’t think you can take another step, continually shows kindness, compassion and love despite being in severe pain daily.... well there are no words. The reason for this GoFundMe is to be able to give Nikki what she wants most. As humiliating as it is to ask for help, Once again my love is stronger than my pride. Many of you have reached out and asked how can I help, What do you need? Nikki just wants time with her family. The only thing that gives us time is contributions. I know times are tough for many of people right now. There’s really no expectations here. I just wanted to put this out because so many people have asked us what do we need. Nikki did request instead of sending flowers, please donate to an animal shelter. That would bring her joy. We are beyond grateful for all the reach outs, prayers, flowers, food , cards and monetary gifts. I know those gifts were giving with true generosity, kindness and love.
