MBEC Robotics Program
Donation protected
Hello! Monterey Bay Educational Center (MBEC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and needs the help of the larger community to implement a robotics program for our students. Our students participate in a different daily activity for each day of the week, and we would like to implement more STEM activities. Money donated will be used to purchase robotics building kits, and students will work on building their robots once a week during their daily activity.
Providing these students with more STEM opportunities means a lot to all of us at MBEC, especially our students. It has been shown that implementing learning outside of the classroom activities help students develop both stronger academic and social skills. We hope to get this program started in the fall of 2016 and have lined up instructors to help with the construction and application of the skills necessary for this project. Below is a little more information about who we are and how any donation helps us out.
Our Mission:
Monterey Bay Educational Center strives to educate, support, and mentor children utilizing independent qualified instructors and unique programs which assist children in achieving their personal goals as well as building a strong academic foundation and a solid set of skills which will assist them throughout their lives.
Who We Are:
MBEC operates as an educational brokerage house for independent study programs that meets the needs of students from 6th through 12th grade. In addition to the independent study programs, MBEC provides tutoring and educational counseling services for students throughout the region.
