Bob Ackley

After 30+ years riding dirt bikes, my husband, Bob, was outside enjoying an afternoon on his dirt bike something he loves to do when he has time. Unfortunately this time his ride ended differently. The bike's peg came down on him and cut his foot open pretty bad. He broke his foot in many places especially the heel and has a large laceration where is ankle bone was popping out. He had surgery and was kept in hosptial.  The doctor said this will be a long recovery. Then just recently his foot became in infected. He has been in the hospital since Saturday. He has had another surgery and possibly going on a 3rd. He has been in extreme pain and now this prolongs the recovery period. He will have a visiting nurse come to our house twice a week to clean his infection up to a month. He has a wound vaccum (pump) inside his foot to keep it from swelling. It looks like he will have to have that at home for awhile. 
Bob is hardworking, caring, and compassionate man that is always there to help anyone. He's worked so hard to start up his own plumbing business and recently got everything up and running. Being self-employed is demanding and Bob was in the process looking for health insurance. Due to the expensive premiums he had yet to find coverage at the time of his accident.
The health care bills will accumulate quickly with the ER visit, X-rays, scans, surgical procedures, and doctor visits.
