My name is Shannon Demers I' am the daughter of Maureen Mulligan and the sister to Ryan O' Neill and Meghan Demers .
I am here to tell you a bit about my moms story .
She moved to Ottawa as a single mother with my sister and I while my brother stayed in our home town .
It's been the three of us for as long as I can remember.
Years later she met her now fiancé, Murray Mc Donald, and then moved with him to the country side. While my sister and I continued to pursue our dreams in the city. With no vehicle, or hardly any public transportation, seeing each other, often, has become one of the hardships that we have to face.
Recently my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and living day to day activities has been a struggle.
Medication, exercise equipment, treatments, public transportation are some of the expenses that we now have to pay for, on top of our every day needs.
Asking others for help has never been something that came easy for us but I finally realized that we have to put our pride aside and take all the help that we can get.
Any little bit WILL help more than you know. <3
