Help a musician outfit his home

Hello friends!

My good friend Terry Halvorson is a professional woodwind musician based primarily in the Los Angeles area; he also works in the San Francisco Bay Area, occasionally in San Diego, as well as most summers in southwest Utah. He travels around partially because he can't get enough work as a freelancer in SoCal, but also so that he can visit his three young nephews and aging father in the Central Valley of CA.
In order to work in all of these various areas, Terry has been living in van conversions the past four plus years. His original van had nice RV-style amenities, but was unfortunately a money pit, so he eventually sold it and got his current van, a Chevy Astro, which he's lived in for four months; it's a great little van, but it's just too small. He will be flying out to Atlanta soon to pick up a new (to him) camper van, which he is paying for with loans which he will be repaying this summer during his current gig.
Now to the reason for this GoFundMe campaign: in order to make this "new" van home, Terry is going to need to have several things done: 1) have solar panels and charge controller installed (which he already owns), 2) have a 3000 watt inverter installed (his current one, which he's going to sell, is 1500 watts and isn't powerful enough for his needs), 3) buy and install two high amperage AGM coach batteries, 4) get custom, high density foam mattresses for the bed area, 5) have an alarm system and back-up camera installed, 6) have all systems (RV and coach) thoroughly inspected and have repairs done, 7) have rotors, brakes and suspension all upgraded. He estimates all of this will cost approx $6,000.
His current gig is pretty good, but it ends in mid-October, so between repaying the friends who loaned him the money for the van and paying for food and bills, he's not going to have much left for the above list. And on top of all of this, he also needs to have some fairly major dental work done soon, as well as starting to pay some of the medical bills from his heart attack two years ago. Terry is very independent and he hates asking for help, but he is a good person trying to live as an artist and could really use any assistance we could offer.
