Memorial Fund and Finance Support for John

Donation protected

UPDATE: On April 30th 2021, my father John had passed away. Any money raised will be going towards his memorial and any other finances that acquired in the process. Thank you all for your continued love and support during this difficult time.

Anybody who has ever met John knows what a kind and loving person he is. He is such a wonderful grandfather, father, husband and friend, and right now he is going through hell and he needs our help!

After living with diabetes and asthma, John’s health started to decline even more after he started having trouble with his throat and lungs which lead to him getting sick with pneumonia. Not once, not twice but 3 or 4 times. He was finally diagnosed with COPD after having trouble with his breathing.

He later found out he had heart disease and that his COPD wasn’t actually that, but the water around his heart and in his lungs was why he was having trouble with his breathing.

He had found out that about 6 months prior that he had had a heart attack. Nobody knew. Not even him.

Two years ago John started to drop the weight and had lost more than 100lbs of weight simply by just not being hungry anymore. It was thought to have been caused by cancer, but they were able to rule that out.

He was also having trouble with mini strokes.  He would get disoriented and dizzy and would pass out. After several falls he eventually had broken his back. On February 22 2021, his Wife had to call 911. He was taken to a local hospital and he has either been in the hospital or a rehab center ever since.

When John had found out that he had broken his back he also had found out that he had bone spurs which were assumed to be caused by the previous falls he had, and he had also had torn ligaments.

While he was laid up in the hospital he developed pneumonia. After he got through that he was sent to a rehab center to recover from his back injuries. He ended up back in the hospital with pneumonia again.  While his back was looking better he has had an on again off again battle for his life, while continuously developing pneumonia.

At one point John was ready to give up but after the hospital was so kind as to let his family say their final goodbyes, he decided he was willing to do anything to keep fighting!

He now has a feeding tube in his belly, to help give him some nutrition since he keeps developing pneumonia from having trouble with his throat. He has lost more than 20 lbs while being in the hospital due to lack of exercise and nutrition.  He has absolutely no strength at all. He is basically just wasting away in the hospital. He is very sick and he is dieing. He is all alone. We have been very fortunate lately to see him, but because of covid only one person is allowed to see him a day while he is in the hospital, but he recently went back to rehab and he is not allowed to have visitors unless they and him have had the covid shot.

I am trying to raise enough money to help with a recovery program that costs $3,000 per day! He needs to do this for 30-40 days.  Any money raised beyond that will go towards his medical expenses, not covered by his insurance. Medicare sucks!

I am asking for your help, your love and support to help John to continue on with his life.

We want him to come home! We love and miss him very much. We are not ready to give up on him yet!

If you can help with donations towards his recovery program and with medical bills, we would greatly appreciate it. We would also love it if you could share this and send your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you,
Danielle
