Greetings, family and friendlies!
When I first learned about GoFundMe, the cause was about raising money to help pay for a friends heart-lung transplant. I was thrilled to be able to help, if only in my very limited way. It totally made sense to me...like in marriage or any community....a shared joy is doubled, a shared sorrow is halved.
I'm happy to report that the radiation treatments I received were quite successful in getting control of my pain. It's what we had hoped for, and so far so good!
Unfortunately, the chemotherapy was not so successful. Rather than endure months of torturous treatments, only to realize the same result, I've decided to try to make the best of the time I have left, see if I can pay my own way out of this mess ,maybe do a kindness or two, and try to rustle up some fun!
Here are the goals:
1. I really, really want to have all of my "final" expenses covered fully.
2. Since I am on a fixed income, I've had to borrow here and there to make ends meet....I really appreciate the help and want to repay all that I can.
3. Since my diagnosis, lots of medically necessary equipment has had to be purchased....I probably couldn't stay at home without it, and there is still more needed. The family has been covering me....its very important to me to repay them.
4. I have a couple of projects that involve reaching out to individuals, not big expenses, but something.
5. The fun! Since I'm mobility challenged, I'm thinking I could take my grandsons on a train ride...maybe to Yosemite and to see my son, or maybe Yellowstone, which I've never seen.
