On Thursday, January 28, our dear friend John Carney suffered an aortic rupture. After being taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Charles, he was airlifted to Barnes Hospital where he underwent an extremely high risk surgery to restore blood flow to his internal organs and allow his aorta to heal. Though he is still in intensive care, he is defying all odds and making incredible progress, thanks to an amazing team of physicians and the prayers and positive energy from so very many people.
Even with health insurance, John and his wife, Suzanne, are going to be faced with enormous medical bills. We hope this fundraising campaign will help lessen this huge financial burden.
