Susan Lee's Medical Fund

Donation protected
In early 2015 my friend Susan Lee who is 43 and a single parent to a 12 year old boy was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.   Her cancer was so aggressive that her oncologist wanted to start treatment that same day she received the bad news.
She  went to the hospital and a "port" was placed. A port is a catheter where the medications would be delivered.  Over the course of several months she had completed a full round of chemotherapy.  Next, was radiation therapy, followed by a mastectomy, or removable of her right breast.
After, a month of painful recovery from the surgery she was told that she was not free from cancer.  She now had stage 4 breast cancer. Her oncologist told her that she needed to start another form of chemotherapy.  However, her doctor felt that he was not able to treat her breast cancer, and that Hawaii did not have the resources available to treat her form of cancer.
Her oncologist tried to send her to the mainland for treatment, but the request for treatment was denied by her medical insurance.
In the mean time her cancer was unsuccessfully being treated with "chemo" pills.  She had just received another bad news, her cancer had spread to her lungs and liver.
She was recently hospitalized, and also, got a new oncologist. This oncologist is very optimistic that she will now qualify for trial treatment on the mainland.
This fight fund is set up to help Susan win her battle against breast cancer. Your prayers and donations are greatly appreciated.
