A Cancer Bill for Dave
Donation protected
In 2014 my dad was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of pancreatic cancer and did not know what the furture would hold. With that outlook my parents didn't really put much thought into how we would pay for his treatments. Well, here we are. After having the 2" tumor and half his pancreas removed over 4th of July weekend in 2014 he went through a round of chemo, and the largest safe dose of radiation possible to make sure any cells they missed were killed. Unfortunately in a scan a year later another large tumor was found on his liver, another round of chemo and another scan showed the chemo stopped its growth so he underwent microwave ablation to kill the tumor. With that seeming a success this June he had his gall bladder removed because the chemo caused him to develop gallstones that were making it hard to eat, seeing what looked like tumors the surgeon took a biopsy which has turned up negative for cancer.
So here we are, cancer free for now, Before his diagnosis he had lost his job with health insurance and even with the obamacare subsidies couldn't afford the health insurance for the first 6 months of treatment. Now they have 150k in medical expenses to pay off. My family and I would be grateful for any little gift you all could give to help pay back the money we owe to the life saving doctors and hospitals.
