M y name is Ku'ulei Coyaso-Vicente. I am Hawaiian and love to spend time with family and friends. My passion is to always "leave a little sparkle" wherever I go as I'm one who loves to be a light in the life of others and help anyone in any way in their times of need. At the age of fourteen I was diagnosed with  Angiomyolipoma, a benign tumor on my right kidney which has been removed due to it ripping and causing internal bleeding in the year of 2012. From that time on I've been continuing annually with a positive attitude and strong will to maintain my health. As I still have those tumors on my liver and left kidney. Now, I am currently at the age of eighteen and have been recently diagnosed with cyst on my left and right lungs known as Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM). It's a type of disease that is incurable and over time as the LAM cells continue to grow it destroys the lung tissues making it to where my lungs can no longer supply oxygen to the body or its organs resulting in death. This is a very rare condition, but occurs more often in women. As of now, there is no known cure. This means that the medical world is still in the research phase.  As you can imagine, I am scared. Moving forward in this time will tax me physically, mentally, and emotionally. We are currently working with doctors and insurance to get the best help possible to cover expenses but unfortunately not all can be met. I, personally and humbly, ask for your greatly appreciated donation that will be used for any and all expenses to cover my physical, emotional, and mental needs for this journey to come. Our goal is to raise $50,000. Donations will go towards travel expenses for me and my parents so that this research & treatment can be done, housing, food, etc..
