Kyle’s Flight Home & Recovery Fight
Donation protected
Hello friends and family,
Since March 6th so many of you have asked when we were going to have a GoFundMe for Kyle and the answer is now. We are turning to you all to help get Kyle home from California to Texas where he can continue his fight to recovering from brain trauma with friends and family by his side. In order to do so we have to have funds prior to the hospital helping us with the medical flight home. We can not do this any further without you all. We’re unsure of the exact cost of the medical flight, but told it could be $15k-$30k alone. His rehab will be an expensive long road as well, the remaining funds after his flight will be used for his sub acute care and rehabilitation costs. Every cent will go to Kyles return home and recovery costs. He’s fighting so hard y’all, so hard.
If you are not familiar with Kyles story here is a shortened version of his journey...
On March 6th Kyle was in Beverly Hills, California where he had an AVM in his brain rupture causing a seizure while driving. His wreck caused the car he was driving to split in half where he was then ejected and thrown approximately 100 feet from the car. He only suffered some road rash and a cracked rib from the wreck. The majority of the medical problems was the AVM rupture building up blood/pressure in his skull. Kyle was a mile and a half from the hospital where he was rushed in to surgery where the neurologist was able to stop the bleeding and stabilize Kyle. The neurologist team had to remove a dollar bill size portion of his skull called a bone flap. The main neurologist said because Kyle was so close to the hospital when the AVM ruptured, he survived. A few days later he was given a Tracheotomy for oxygen and a peg line for feeding. He’s been fighting so hard since.
On April 19th the hospital neurologist who did his first surgery did another removing a blood clot, blood and fluid in his brain then a plastic surgery team finally replaced his bone flap into his head and closed him up. Now that his skull is back in we need to get him transferred home to Texas.
We know you have all been praying so hard for Kyle and our family, we couldn’t ever thank you all enough. Any donation to support us in getting Kyle back to Texas and to his recovery would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to share Kyles page if you’d like.
