Please Save Preservation Arab Filly
Donation protected
My name is Karin Floyd. I live in Tucson, AZ and breed preservation Arabian horses -- bloodlines that are going extinct but are vital to the future generations of the Arabian horse.
My mare Dahlilah gave birth to one such filly, she is beautiful and such a curious, sweet foal so far. Sadly, she has gotten a condition called septic arthritis, meaning, she has a bacterial infection that has invaded her stifle joint.
I had the vet out yesterday and got some very heavy duty antibiotics for her. Sadly, without surgery, the vet says she only has a 20% chance of survival. The surgery involves flushing the joint with saline solution, antibiotics, and draining the inflammation. Her leg is about doulbe the size as her other, uninfected one. She is hobbling around on 3 legs, currently.
This filly is one of 9 horses in the world with her breeding, her pedigree is considered "code red" meaning it is critically endangered.
Please, I would like to do anything I can to help her pull through this. Surgery may be the only option.
If you can find it in your heart to help me, her, and the Arabian breed out, please donate whatever you can to save this little baby, a bright light for future generations of Arabian horses.
Thank you.
