Makayla is a 39 year old woman who goes above and beyond for everyone. She recently had an heart attack and needs help! Makayla and her husband Aj have several children and grandchildren that they are responsible for. They took in her Cousins daughter who passed away almost 9 years ago. When they got her she was 17 and pregnant. She stills lives at home and now has 3 boys. They also have custody of her nephew from a sister who passed away last year at the age of 28. This sister suffered 8 years from Lupus. They also have custody of a set of nephews from a different sister. The boys had been in foster care for over three years and Makayla and Aj got them out. God finally blessed them with their own biological child, who is 3 months old. They named the baby Destiny Love. Aj is a hard working man, who is about to start a new job. He currently works for an ambulance company and also volunteers as a firefighter every weekend. He has been doing this for the last 10 years. Makayla is a self published author who has told her testimony of growing up in foster care herself in a book titled A Mile in My Shoes. She has dabbled in acting and modeling but everyday She is a hair stylist at Essentials in Laurel, MD. But as a stylist if you don't work you don't get paid! "I was in the middle of a client and I started feeling weird kinda of light headed, then my chest got real tight, I started to vomit, got clammy, the sweat was pouring down every part of my body. My arms were tingling and my hands felt like mush. Then I passed out and was eventually taken to the ER"

Makayla later found out she was having an heart attack. She was suffering from 100% blockage in one artery and about 30-35% in several others.
