Hello friends and loved ones,
Our family has had an extra member, a softball size tumor on our dad’s arm, for close to twenty years and it’s time we said our goodbyes. This tumor has slowly leached the health from him and stollen him from our lives. He’s always put himself last and never felt he could take the time from helping us grow up to take care of him and his health. But now that the youngest of us kids is graduating and moving away to college, it’s time for dad to focus on himself and getting better so that he can participate in our family again.
Most of you reading this at home are probably thinking- “Yes! Go Ryan, take care of yourself so you can be there for your family!” and we agree! But not only has this tumor stolen time, trips, quality time and overall health, it’s also caused immense and debilitating pain and suffering- and now it is going to cost thousands of dollars to finally say good bye and get our dad healthy again.
Money shouldn’t stand in the way of someone being able to live a normal, pain free life. It shouldn’t stand in the way of a father, husband, son, and friend, being able to be a part of the lives of all those that love him. But it does. If this tumor is not removed, our dad will continue to deteriorate and possibly lose his arm or his life. This surgery is essential for our family, and therefore so are the medical bills. Insurance doesn’t even begin to cover these costs, not to mention the temporary loss of work, and though essential, it will be a long and stressful journey and anything you can give will help us along the way.
