My father, Gustav Hedstrom Jr. was looking forward to retire after working 40+ years, and planning his first trip to the US.  Unfortunately his world turn upside down, April this year he was diagnosed with pneumonia. He was admitted in our hometown hospital for 2 weeks, and was discharged to home and found himself in the back of an ambulance en route to a bigger hospital in Manila a week later.

He was readmitted for a total of 26 days, 21 of those days were in the ICU. During his readmission he was also diagnosed with, congestive heart failure, septic shock and the pneumonia was so severe that it caused damage to his lungs. In order to survive, he requires 10 tanks of oxygen a day, extensive medication regime, therapy and round the clock nursing care.  From an active life, he is bed ridden and unable to care for himself. 

 Together his family and friends humbly ask for your support with the many medical expenses that Gustav will be faced with during the upcoming months.

 The road to recovery may be long and hard for Gustav, and we ask if you are unable to donate at this time, that you simply keep Gustav and the entire family in your thoughts and prayers.
