Bob Kohut Medical Fund

The Dirt Road Detours are a band based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We are a close group of guys that are like a second family.  On June 30th we got news that our bass player Bob Kohut had been badly injured in an accident. We are asking for your help to offset expenses for Bob and his family in this time of need. Monies rasied will go to help with medical bills, hotel, food, and other expenses needed while Bob is in the hospital down in Texas.  Below is a brief summary of what we know so far of what happened and how he is doing at this time.

Bob was in an accident on his motorcycle when he topped a hill and hit a deer on the highway. He sustined brain trauma, two collasped lungs, broken shoulder, and severe road rash with other cuts and scrapes. He had a laceration on his head that was fairly large.

He has had surgery to remove part of his skull to allow room for his brain swelling. He has tubes in his lungs, and is currently unable to move his left arm. He has been sedated for pain and is not able to respond to anyone at this point.

His family has been with him since shortly after he arrived at the hospital. They have informed us that his stay in ICU will be 4 weeks at a minimum. In addition to any additional time he will have to be hospitalized following that.  He is very strong and we know he will get through this challenge in time.

DRD would like to thank you in advance if you choose to help support Bob and his family in this time of need.
