Blue Needs Our Help

Hi everyone, it is with a tragic heartbreak that I have to reach out and ask for help this way.
My dog blue, a 5 yr. old French Bulldog got in a fight with another French Bulldog of mine.
Please be mindful and respectful of my story as I do not expect everyone to understand.
On the day of April 8th my two french bulldogs got into a fight.

From the 8th to the 13th blue was hospitalized at our local vet in Ferndale.
Having to have both ears cropped, two drain tubes, 1 under each armpit. A numerous amount of unpleasant wounds and a 24/7 iv.
At a total of $3,500.

On the 13th blue came home, he was home for 3 nights. Still not wanting anything to do with food but will drink water.
he is very awake and alert. He will use the bathroom on his own and will walk anywhere you need him too.
His next appointment was the 16th for drainage removal.
The night before, on the 15th I had noticed his eyes were turning a little yellowish color.
From growing up with dogs my whole life I new that was a symptom that something was off.
On the morning of the 16th when we had got to his appointment I mentioned to the doctor what I was seeing. They instantly hooked him back up to iv fluids and told me it would be best to leave him over night. They also ran blood test. About two hours later I got a call from Ferndale Veterinary telling me exactly what I never wanted to hear.

The wounds on his body are so bad they caused an infect that has now gotten into his bloodstream.
The skin around his wounds is also dead from the blood lose during the fight and needs to be removed.
With the existence of the injury Ferndale wanted to transfer him to be assisted with better care.
After 5 hours of playing musical veterinary on the phone all along the coast.
AMISS a 24hr. Animal Internal Medicine & Specialist looked over his records and felt they had the tools to take on the job.
Another $800 for having blue be on iv while we were finding the right doctor.

Around 8:00 p.m. we left Humboldt County and made our journey to S.F.
WE ARE SO GRATEFUL FOR THE EFFORTS AT FERNDALE VETERINARY!!

We arrived at AMISS April 17th around 1:00 a.m.
They immediately took him in and started working on him. They fell in love!
Preparing me for a long road of recovery, there are no promises and this will not be cheap.
Starting him on stronger pain medication and two stronger antibiotics.
The goal right now is to stop the infection before it attacks his liver.
From the 17th to the 19th is how many days I have paid. 3 days without any surgeries.
A total of $6,000.
As my quote just for the month is at $20,000
Give or take depending on how many surgeries they will have to do.

I’m lost.
I’m beyond heartbroken.

Yes, I have had multiple conversations; with myself, with god, with every tech and doctor.
Is this worth it.

you guys this is not just my “dog” in fact if you no me I never call him a dog. He is my son.
Blue is my best friend and I can not express this enough.
I’m not me without him.
Blue is currently 5 but will be 6 yrs old June 4th.
I just turned 23 in March.
He has been with me through the most craziest years of my life. He is my go to every day (good or bad!)
I’m so lost and confused to even be in this position.
Today has been exactly 10 days.
He’s alive.
He’s awake.
He’s responsive.
He is using his body!
I am thankful.

As much as this virus is attacking his body his mind is not giving up!
10 days with no food and he is still fighting.
Blue has never once gave up on me.
I can not and will not give up on him.

April 18th at 7:00 in the morning I had got a call from the AMISS doctor. She said, she had removed some dead skin late last night and everything was looking good. They have been doing massage therapy every day throughout. His blood temperature was stable along with his heart rate. He is still alert and willing to fight through this.
As of now there has been small steps of progression rather than not.
We will be doing more blood work to see if the new antibiotics are helping.
The surgeons will also be talking about how they want to go about this but as of now it’s a day by day waiting presses until his body is completely stable to undergo.
If his body can fight this virus, he will overcome this.
I am asking $30,000 only because of the veterinary cost.
Every single penny goes straight to blue as I have Maxed every card I have and just ordered another one.
I will do what I have to to make it work.

I also live 4 hours away from the vet and will be having to make the drive back and forth every couple days.
If you don’t understand why I’m asking for this amount and don’t have anything to donate, I do completely understand.Drastic times call for Drastic Measures And Blue Really Needs US !
As much as the money will help blue I truly believe in prayers.
PLEASE SAY A PRAYER TO KEEP MY BABY WITH ME AND A SPEEDY RETURN.
I want to bring him home happy and healthy.

I will update everyday as I get them myself.
Thank you, blessings.
