Help Vidal Rico with Dialysis
Dear friends, some of you may know that I had been very ill. I was hospitalized approximately a month. I was diagnosed with kidney failure. I was immediately put on dialysis daily. Finally I was able to come home to recuperate after a lengthy illness. Ever since, my life has been a roller coaster. My daily routine has changed dramatically.
Luckily I have been able to deal with my Ilness and have been able to do my school work. In a few weeks I have to travel to San Antonio for extensive testing. I have been placed on a waiting list for a kidney transplant .
Over time, my kidney disease has gotten worse causing my kidneys not to work well enough to keep me alive. This is what I am facing now, and my treatment options are limited to dialysis treatments or a kidney transplant.
Getting regular dialysis treatments daily will help my kidneys do their job and keep me alive, but a transplant would offer me more freedom and the ability to live a longer, healthier and normal life. A transplant would also give me more time to do the fun things I enjoy the most, like playing sports outside and play video games.
