D.R.E.A.M., Inc. (Developing Real life skills through Education,  Athletics, and Mentorship) was founded in 2016 by three African-American male Temple University graduates and is a registered non-profit youth empowerment organization in the District of Columbia. Our mission: to inspire and prepare DC area youth to become the best version of themselves through educational and athletic enrichment.

The idea was developed during the co-founders' (Tariq Lee-Grimes, Elam Ruff and Garland Walker) time in Philadelphia, PA. In Philadelphia, PA, we painfully witnessed and read stories of talented youth who either couldn't qualify academically to attend college or were unable to fulfill their academic duties while in college. We saw a need for this type of program and thought the best place to start it would be in Mr. Ruff and Mr. Lee-Grimes' hometown of Washington, D.C.

Our program will offer academic support, life/career skills development, and specialized athletic training and competition to 6th-12th grade student-athletes in the D.C. area.

The money that is raised will allow us to fund daily programming operations, including but not limited to, purchasing academic supplies and athletic equipment.

Any amount that you can donate will be greatly appreciated, as it will make our D.R.E.A.M. a reality.
