Mike Spengler's Memorial Fund

Have you ever been excited about marrying your best friend and finally having your dad walk you down the aisle? That was Kim on the day of her bridal shower on June 18th. Two days later the darks clouds above her took every bit of happiness from her and left her in sorrow.

The day after father's day, Kim's dad, Mike Spengler, went missing.  She made a Facebook post about his disappearance and asked her friend to share the post. During this outpouring of support, people asked her to check on the truck that caught on fire. Most of the S. California people know this as the Reservoir Fire in Azusa. When Kim called the firestation, they said that they can't get to the truck until the fire is contained. The next day Kim and her fiance went looking for Mike for two hours to no avail. 3 hours later, she received a call from the Coroner stating it was her dad's truck, but they needed dental record to verify the body. 9 days later, they confirmed it.

For those who had the pleasure of knowing Mike Spengler, you know he was someone special. He always had a positive attitude and could always make you laugh with his corny jokes and infectious persona. Mike always believed that he could help people turn their lives around. He was everyone's favorite guys, whether you knew him as the owner of Jump Connection, your karaoke singing buddy, Margarita Mike, your long time friend, or your loving family member. He definitely touched the lives of everyone he came across.  He leaves behind three children, a loving girlfriend, and a thriving business. His legacy at Jump Connection will continue to flourish.

The money raised will go directly to Mike's  daughter, Kim Spengler, to help fund his cremation and memorial. As we all know these expenses add up, especially when your wedding is a week away. We can help Kim and her family by simply donating to help ease the financial burden. Any amount will do. If you plan on bringing or sending flowers I urge you to donate instead. Weddings -even on a budget can be very expensive, unexpected costs after a terrible fatality doesn't even cross your mind.

As for me, I'm just one of Kim's friends who admires and love her. If you know Kim, she will never ask for help.... but at a time like this.. we can do the asking for her. Please share this on social media!
