Help Tena Fight Cancer

This is for my  sister Tena. I am setting up this Gofundme account as we sit in the ER room with her with what is one of the endless visits she has had to make over the past six months. She is Mother to Mandy and grandmother to Tristan, Alex and Katie. She is sister to Norma, Diane, Chris and Pam. We all love her very much and are reaching out to our friends, family and even to people who do not know us, but are experiencing or have experienced the agony and heartbreak of cancer. Tena is 57 and was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in her lungs, lymph nodes and spine  right before Christmas 2015. She was not insured and had to wait for 3 weeks until she could get temporary Medicaid, which with this very aggressive and extensive cancer, was not good. By the time they did the first round, it was so strong that it put her in the hospital for 4 weeks and she almost died just from the treatment.  Her oncologist said that though the cancer was extensive and aggressive, he could not give her the chemo dose she needed because it would kill her, so her dose was cut it half. Needless to say, that would not be enough to eradicate the cancer, but would at least hopefully would help keep it bay. She has had many  many ER trips with extreme pain, confusion and nausea. A couple of weeks ago she started having numbing in her right hand and couldn't hold a fork. She collapsed by her bed early Saturday morning and rushed to the ER where they did a brain scan and found that the cancer had spread to her brain resulting in numerous tumors. This was not the news was we had hoped and prayed for. 

She desperately needs a PET scan to really see where exactly all the cancer is now, so she can  have all the info to either continue on with treatment or decide not to.  Medicaid will not pay for it. She also needs help financially for other daily living  and as much as it pains me to even write this, final expenses.  

She needs your help. She needs it very very quickly.  This is not something I would normally do, because as her big sister,  I want to be able to do whatever it takes to help her, but sometimes, times like these it takes more than I can do.  More than we, her family can do. We need you to come alongside us. We can not do this alone. Not without you.
