Ashley Fights!

Ashley Livers – mother, wife, therapist, coach, friend – was diagnosed with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (ACC) just weeks before Christmas. The tumor is growing between her eye and her brain cavity and the hope is that we treat it before it enters her brain cavity. She is someone who has given so much of her time, love, and energy to her family and community. She worked at the Help Center, Haven, and Victim Services and currently works at the Sexual Assault Counseling Center and Green Flag in Bozeman. Ashley devoted her life to serving others in need. Now, it’s our turn to take care of her.
Ashley’s little family is a bundle of love and what drives her to care for her community as a therapist every day. She has Joe, her husband of nearly ten years, whom she met while the two were coaching soccer. She has Teagan, her feisty teen, who gave her the best gift of all: becoming a mom. And she has sweet, inventive little Torren, her almost-four-year-old who loves her so much that he has taken to carrying around one of her shirts with him everywhere he goes. He loves telling everyone about his momma while burying his face in that shirt.
The love for Ashley doesn’t stop there. Her mother and brothers have been with her since the moment she was born, and their close connection has been a blessing throughout the years. The young soccer players she has coached, some of whom are now playing at colleges around the country; the therapy clients she has stood by in their most vulnerable moments; and the children she has taught as a special education teacher all have felt Ashley’s love and light.
Let’s all stand with Ashley and her sweet family now as they face an uphill battle that requires all of us to care for the woman who has cared for so many in our community. Ashley has the opportunity to receive experimental treatment in Miami to beat this rare and aggressive form of cancer. The treatment in Miami has shown incredibly promising results, and doctors believe it is her best bet to overcome this tumor. That means many trips down to Miami for weeks at a time, medical costs, and reduced income overall as their family spends much-needed time together.
Your support today will help Ashley’s family cover the costs of medical treatment, travel expenses to Miami, and the basic necessities as Ashley reduces her workload.
Ashley and her family just received a giant bag of lemons, but we will turn them into lemonade with our amazing community behind her! Let’s remind her, Joe, Teagen, and Torren that they are not alone in this fight!
