Daniel's Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected

My name is Helen Davidson and I am the sister-in-law of Daniel Jackson, who is married to my sister Kayla Jackson.  Daniel and Kayla met in highschool and have been in a loving relationship for 12 years.  They are parents of five beautiful children ranging from 9 months to 9 years old.

Three weeks ago Daniel was admitted into the hospital for a gallbladder attack, at which time it was removed.  However, his health continued to decline and he ended up back in the hospital for additional tests.  This week Daniel was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).   The hospital is continuing testing to determine if it has spread into his spine.

Daniel has missed the last 4 weeks of work and is now on FMLA.   He draws his last paycheck today.  Daniel is employed by the Missouri Correctional Center in Cameron, MO.   Unfortunately, they do not offer short term disability as a benefit, but he will qualify for Long term disability in another 60 days.

I am raising money to help supplement their income and pay bills while Daniel is out of work.  We hope to raise enough money to keep their mortgage paid and provide food and clothing for the children while Daniel is in the hospital receiving chemotherapy.

Daniel has a long road of chemotherapy treatments as well as an upcoming transfusion and is not expected to be able to return to work for at least a year while he fights the fight of his life.

Daniel isn't just a typical 30 year old guy.  I've known him to juggle as many as three jobs to make sure his family never did without.  Like all sisters, I was protective and upset that my sister and Daniel met at such a young age, but Daniel proved to be a good man and provider to his family.  As we all know, nobody deserves such a hardship, especially this young family, but life is full of surprises, both good and bad.

Please share this Go Fund Me page with your friends and family.  I want to show Daniel and Kayla that even though life may be full of hardships, there are a lot of generous and loving people who are willing to open up their hearts and help them during this time of crisis.  No donation is too small.

Thank you for your generosity to this family in their greatest time of need.
