Hi everyone,
I’m starting this fund for my dear friend and coworker, Lisa Jeffords.
Over the weekend Lisa began to feel unwell and ultimately could not make it through the work day on Monday. Since then she has been off of work and has been extremely ill. This morning she went to the Emergency Room to be seen, and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
As of now, Lisa has been diagnosed with pneumonia and DKA—Diabetic Ketoacidosis. She will remain in the ICU a minimum of 24-48 hours for monitoring, fluids, etc. After that, she will need to stay home to build up her strength and recuperate as her body heals. We’re not entirely sure how long she may be in the hospital, or how long she will need to be at home. Unfortunately, the past year has been full of personal losses that have caused her to use the sick pay and vacation she had accrued.
My hope is that we can give Lisa the time and peace of mind that she needs to recuperate. Lisa has touched so many lives and has a heart of gold—it would mean the world to her to be able to take the time she needs to heal and not be burdened with additional financial strain. Your healing thoughts and prayers, well wishes, and support are so appreciated during this time.
