Never imagined in my wildest dreams that I would be writing this for my best friend of 30 plus years. While on vacation I received the heart stopping devastating news on July 30 that she had stage 4 GI cancer. Tina Went to surgery expecting to have a hysterectomy after being told of having an enlarged uterus from a mass but family received the unexpected news that the tumor was invading multiple organs.
After receiving the news, the tears flowed . While laying in bed that night I had several thoughts running through my mind. Aside from having to deal with the cancer diagnos ,the other thought was the enormous amount of medical bills they are about to face . As an oncology nurse I have seen first hand the huge cost of medical care and cancer care. The idea of setting up a go fund me page came to mind so here I am .
A little info about Tina. I could write a book about how wonderful she is but to sum things up she is a selfless, kind,loving, woman of God. Over the years, Tina and her wonderful husband Mike have always been the type of individuals to help others out in any way that they could. Always selflessly putting others first. So on her behalf and her family, I am wanting to pay it forward.
As a result of her being unable to work and lack of insurance, her family is highly in need of financial support to help with the medical bills and daily cost of living needs.
We would be so grateful for your donations as she begins this journey in her fight.
